IANTD Advanced EANx Diver
IANTD Advanced EANx Diver – The Gateway to Technical Diving
Go Deeper, Stay Longer, and Dive Smarter in Houston, TX
The IANTD Advanced EANx (Enriched Air Nitrox) Diver course is one of the most pivotal programs in a diver's career. It represents the transition from recreational "sport" diving to the foundational skills of a technical diver. This course expands your knowledge of Nitrox, introduces you to decompression procedures, and refines your equipment configuration for maximum efficiency and safety.
At Gulf Coast Scuba, we use this program to build the precision buoyancy and gas management skills required for deep wrecks and the intricate cave systems of the world.
What You Will Learn
This program is designed to extend your proficiency by teaching you how to manage more complex dive profiles:
-
Advanced Gas Planning: Master the use of EANx mixtures from 21% up to 100% Oxygen for accelerated decompression.
-
Decompression Theory: Understand the physiological principles of "The 42 Meter (140ft) Limit" and how to safely manage up to 15 minutes of mandatory decompression.
-
Equipment Streamlining: Whether you dive backmount doubles or sidemount, we help you optimize your gear for "self-sufficient" diving.
-
Precision Buoyancy: Develop the ability to hold a rock-solid decompression stop, a critical skill for all future technical and CCR training.
Prerequisites for Enrollment
-
Minimum Age: 18 years old (15 with parental consent).
-
Certifications: IANTD EANx Diver and IANTD Deep Diver (or equivalent).
-
Experience: Proof of a minimum of 30 logged dives.

Why IANTD at Gulf Coast Scuba?
We follow the IANTD philosophy of W.A.T.E.R. (Wisdom, Attitude, Training, Experience, Repetition). Our Houston facility provides the perfect environment to transition into technical diving, with on-site high-pressure O2 filling and expert instructors who are active technical and rebreather divers.
