This is a unique liveaboard trip that departs from Freeport, TX, which is about 60 miles south of downtown Houston. You will sail, and scuba dive the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary aboard the M/V Fling! We have thirteen trips scheduled in 2023, and we will send a 'trip leader' subject to Divemaster availability. The Flower Garden Banks are salt domes that have pushed up from the sea floor over thousands of years. These underwater islands are now full of an astonishing amount of life that only scuba divers can explore. The average dive is between 60 and 110 feet. These dives are not guided, but there is a guideline that you can follow from the mooring bolt to various points of interest.

Trips aboard the M/V Fling include:

• Nitrox (27%-32%) for scuba divers certified in Nitrox/Enriched Air Diving. If you want to get certified, we can help with that. CLICK HERE TO START YOUR NITROX CERTIFICATION.
• A sleeping bunk with sheets, a blanket, and a pillow.
• An Aluminum 80 Scuba Tank
• All meals and snacks

The M/V Fling has a new online booking system. This new booking system allows you to pick your bunk. It will refund your money if the trip is canceled. 

As with any trip, you should consider trip insurance if the trip is canceled. We recommend that every diver carry DAN Accident Insurance. You can purchase both HERE.

You must bring your scuba gear and lead weights. We have masks, fins, snorkels, boots, lights, and SMBs for sale. You can rent BCD, Regulators, Wetsuits, Dive Computers, and Lead Weights from us, subject to availability.
