Independent Diving
Although diving is usually always done with a partner on the buddy team, there may be reasons experienced divers choose to dive solo (e.g. underwater photography). More often it happens that you are involuntarily separated from your partner while diving. In these situations, the normal diver is usually overwhelmed!
During the SSI Independent Diver course, you will learn about the potential risks of solo diving and develop the skills and abilities necessary to dive independently, responsibly, and safely while becoming a stronger buddy partner or team member on your dives. You practice how to help yourself in different situations and learn how to optimally adjust and check your equipment for solo diving.
